We helped NOVOL, a leading car paint producer, to undergo digital transformation. We created a range of sales tools within the project, including a new landing page connected with an online shop N-shop (web and mobile) and a loyalty program N-coins for regular customers. We were 100% responsible for the project, from the concept to running workshops with the clients and analyzing their needs, creating the interface (UI), designing the user’s experience (UX), and implementing and testing the system.

Our main challenge was creating a new, efficient sales platform for individual and wholesale clients to smoothly transfer the sales of 1300 products from over 500 stationary stores to the Internet. Additionally, the newly created system had to meet the security and scalability requirements. It was also crucial for the client to personalize the offer so that it would meet the demands of the younger generation of varnishers who look for new and easily accessible products. The online sales with delivery to your home or to collect products at a store of your choice would increase the products’ attractiveness and availability for the new target group.
The next challenge was to create an attractive loyalty program encouraging present and future users to order Novol products more often. The incentive to join the program was collecting points (N-coins) for every purchase, which were exchanged for prize awards or discounts for future orders.
We started working on the project by analyzing the client’s needs during workshops with them. Based on the knowledge we got, we managed to quickly create the whole concept of the platform and clickable functional mockups. While designing different views of the platform, we emphasized the efficiency and ease of using it, and to do that, we made the purchase path as easy as possible. We checked our solution’s stability with a series of efficiency tests.
The appropriately applied Agile methodology, which assumed, among others, continuous communication with the client, helped us quickly react to the applied changes and avoid delays. Finally, the project was launched on time, despite the start of the Covid pandemic and restrictions for the car paint industry.
The effect of our work is a modern and user-friendly web and mobile app meeting the demands of NOVOL’s clients. Within 6 months from the online store’s premiere, 12% of stationary stores joined the platform and started offering the sales of products with N-shop and mobile app. In addition, every two products sold through this channel engaged the user to join the N-family loyalty program. Thanks to that, 49% of stores joined the loyalty program, and 22% of varnishers regularly collect points for purchases and exchange them for prize awards or discounts for future orders.
Thanks to the state-of-the-art NOVOL mobile app, buying varnish is faster and easier. We simplified the whole process into just a few steps so that the growing user community (now 8000 people) can quickly and conveniently order and collect NOVOL products without leaving their homes. The new back-end layer ensures the stable and smooth work of the web and mobile services, with thousands of visitors daily. The growing popularity of the mobile app is building the image of NOVOL as a brand that is a modern, readily available, and user-friendly car varnish producer.
